With this heavy-duty extension, you can increase the spindle turning capacity of your Powermatic 3520B lathe (711660, sold separately) to 52-1/2''-well over four feet long. It can also be used with the PM2020 Short Bed Lathe (51437, sold separately) . The extension can be mounted in the outboard position for comfortable turning of very large bowls and platters up to 38'' in diameter. There are two outboard mounting positions: one level with the bed, and another 9'' lower for the largest workpieces. The bed extension is made from heavy, durable cast iron, and includes a solid steel extension post to raise your tool rest when the extension is mounted in the lower position.
